The cause of Lata Mangeshkar's death was revealed by Dr. Pratima Samdani, who was treating her at Breach Candy Hospital. 

Many of Mangeshkar's organs had stopped functioning, causing him to die, he claimed in a statement. In January, he was brought to the hospital with pneumonia and the coronavirus.
